Ken,
the first release of OpenCard will be 100% HyperCard as open source, but
cross-platform. This is what I like to call OpenCard 1. the reason for this
is that we have our feature set already cut out for us this way, and can
get Opencard finished without having to discuss any feature sets etc. Of
course, we'll remove some stupid limits like 32k of text per field etc.,
and we'll also have to take into account that we'll add color and
multi-window support later on, so latent support for this will also be
required, though there *might* not be a real UI or OpenTalk API for that
yet.
The second release, OpenCard 2, will then introduce some long-desired
features which are already present in other clones, like vector graphics.
What OpenCard 3 will bring? Wellllll... that's still too far into the
future for me.
