Alain : Congratulations are in order to all of our members that are
spearheading the interpreter effort. You have been working hard, and
steady progress seems to the fruit of your labours.
Alain : Concerning my participation in the OpenCard collaboration, I
must admit that I have been somewhat negligent of my duties. Lack of
time as usual (see the paragraph below for more details), but there is
also the obstacle that I'm not a "real" programmer. I am having serious
difficulties understanding what you are all talking about most of the
time. Hard to draw a consensus or offer an opinion when I have no idea
what is being talked about.
Alain : I am currently working on an important contract where I am
building an authoring system that, once completed, will allow teachers
(or content-providers in general) to create dynamically-personnalized
educational web sites, to manage the web-based courses they will have
authored, and last but not least, a collaboration infrastructure that
employs several means of computer-mediated communication. The beauty of
all of this is that it is precisely what we (OODL) need in order to
accomplish our mission. Further still, the copyright holder of all of
the above is ME ! So I don't foresee any difficulty in adapting it to
the purposes of OODL.
Build it and they will come !
