A licence list would be usefull for discussion of the licence and for
deciding if we wish to litigate against someone who abuses it, for example.

It would also be usefull for discussion of the special exceptions (making
other arrangements with the copyright holder).

We already have a politics list. We can get a licence list easily. Is your
EIMS working, now?

Well, a few points.

        a) There are people in backwater nations who must pay for their
           internet access either by time spent online or by bytes
           transferred (unlike here in the US)

        b) Not all mail software supports filtering

        c) Getting simple filters set up is fairly simple. But it's not when
           you have a lot of filters. I have, for example, 3 screenfulls of
           Eudora filters.

I'd like to keep on Unix as much as possible, honestly. And as long as
ListBot or Metacard is doing the hosting, it's probably less likely for
some lowlife (e.g., a thief) to screw it up.

What's wrong with a list with no messages? It's there for when you need it.
