Eric Engle: Salut Alain! (...) je corresponderai en
franais.

Anthony: Ak! English, please... some (many?) of us
don't read French.

Alain: The e-mail in question was destined to me. Eric
was merely offering to write to me in French when we
exchange personal correspondance.

Anthony: I think English is the common denominator
here.

Alain: Of course it is. The official language of posts
to our list is indeed English. But a small aside every
once in a while ( French, German, etc ) is surely not
damaging, wouldn't you say?

Eric Engle: Je dois remarquer ici que bien que j'ai
russi le bareau je ne suis pas encore inscrite. Cela
ne pose problme pour vous mais sur le plan ethique je
suis oblig le dire.

Anthony: A matter of more paperwork? I'm not familiar
with the bar's requirements.

Alain translating for Eric : Eric passed the exam but
is not yet officially registered as a lawyer. This
should not prevent Eric from helping us (he has the
skills) but, ethically speaking, Eric is duty bound to
inform us that he is not officially a lawyer and his
suggestions to us cannot be construed as official
legal advice.
