eric-engle: The reason i used attachments is because
our school system is installing linux - which made it
crash prone. After losing a couple long letters ...

Alain: This is the first negative feedback concerning
Linux that I have heard so far, apart from the fact
that it is substantially more complicated than a Mac.
I thought that that was the deal-with-the-devil
(tradeoff): More complicated but extremely reliable. I
suppose that I shouldn't be that surprised!

eric-engle: ...and finding out that the pc does not
appear to have a "clipboard" i figured attachments
would be easier.

Alain: Haven't they copied that part of the Macintosh
GUI yet? How primitive!

eric-engle: What I will do is send any future
attachments to myself, and then open and copy and
paste them. So I can faithfully promise I will send no
more attachments. Ok?

Alain: If you wish, Eric, but I have a better idea.
Mail them to me as attachments. I will then put your
mail attachment into our web space, so as to make it
available to everyone that is interested, at the click
of a mouse (URL). Even better than that would be that
you deposit the resource on our web server yourself,
via FTP, then post a mail message that merely quotes
the URL corresponding to the newly-deposited resource.
If you need instructions, don't hesitate to write to
me.
