There is a virtue to simplicity. People are getting mad over web pages
that take half a mninute (or more) to load. Most people are still stuck
on modems -- and don't particularly like staring at the blinking light.

Linux is getting more and more user friendly. Ever seen a Linux box
with Enlightenment?
