Uli: Alain, this is in favor of your page and might
mean that Anthony's setup is somehow buggy. I guess
Anthony is running Linux and MacOS both on the same
machine -- maybe that causes an interference?
Alain: Several FreeCarders expressed dislike for my
'hellish' system. I did not want to harm the
reputation of our group, so I promptly removed it. I
was also a little bit upset at the formidable gulf
between my high expectations and the gut reactions I
actually got.

Alain: I guess I can safely assume that you did not
dislike it, Uli. :)
Uli: Alain, would it be possible that you ask some of
the students to look at that page? Maybe it's a glitch
that only shows with the FreeCard page and not with
the other one you're using the same tools for ...
Alain: I will see what I can do. Meanwhile, I can keep
a close eye on my server's logs, and the ones I
crafted too, to see what my users are presently using.

Alain: Not a mistake. Just some un-finished work.

Alain: The cannot do without it. It is not optional.

Alain: Students will look over a few things without
bothering to comment about it, but .. if something
major was wrong .. like navigation, javaScript errors,
etc .. they would surely have notified me. Their
teachers would be on my case, too.

Alain: I will take a close look at Elektra in the next
few days. I am temporarily backlogged right now. I am
not complaining though because the activities that are
occupying me are: (1) probable subsidy to my business,
(2) probable contract with a consortium of university
researchers, (3) and a whole bunch of smaller Web
contracts that I may not have enough time to
entertain.
> Alain: I am currently using Netscape 4.6.1
> Uli: OK, runs on 4.6.1, 4.7 ... any other successes?
Alain: Netscape 4.5 on my G3, too. I thought that I
had upgraded that but hadn't. It is my contention, in
fact, that my system should work with Netscape 3.x and
up, with very little nuisances.
