Thanx Mike!
I should clarify my goals more. What I want is a solution that works
independent of the underlying operating system, card reader and card.
According to OCF documents OCF _is_ independent of the underlying
operating system and transparent with regard to card readers and cards.
Therefore I thought that OCF would be a good solution.
Suppose it's too hard to accomplish all that with IE and/or
Communicator. Could I use Java instead to make use of the cryptographic
functions on the card through OCF API's, and then set up a SSL
connection? If that's possible, am I allowed to use the OCF API's for
cryptography when I live outside the U.S?
