Hi Lutz, I will reply because people on the list do not seem to be very helpful, thereby negating the goal of having a list in the first place.
I am using a Towitoko drive myself. Towitoko does not provide a native Java driver for their readers. Rather, they provide a dll (gen_twk.dll) that is a bridge between OCF and PC/SC. Even so, you do not want to use PC/SC, because when/if you switch platform, say Linux, you can find a CT-API/OCF bridge and you won't have to change a single line of code in your app. Why handcuff yourself to Window$? Also, say you buy the pure Java driver. Then you handcuff yourself to the Towitoko driver, because you will have spent the money to buy the driver. Instead, develop your app with the Towitoko reader, and then if you really need a pure Java driver, get a reader that has a FREE one. Or do the oppposite...That's why we have ISO 7816.
