I mean to say, based on my own testing, the patched device driver works fine on
my laptop (LVDS flat panel + external VGA connector).
Of course, you have a different hardware configuration than my laptop, so it
might not work.
As far as I can tell, I do not really have a desktop mainboard that has VIA
Technologies chipset with DVI.
I did recently obtain a Wyse thin client with a DVI connector, but it does not
have USB flash memory stick boot capability (apparently, it can boot from a 44
pin PATA 2.5" hard drive).
I used to have a 3.5" industrial computer board that had an external TMDS
transmitter for DVI (VT1632A), but it never worked (it won't even boot).
