Every VIA Technologies integrated graphics supports 32-bit color.
Of course, the performance is not meant to be that high due to cost and other
reasons, so maybe that is how that urban legend got started.
That being said, using 16 bit color reduces screen refresh bandwidth
requirement by half, and for CLE266 chipset, this can be substantial.
For VX855 chipset, since we are using DDR2-533 or 667 DDR2 SDRAM (single
channel), I strongly doubt that this has much performance hit.
You should not notice too much performance differences due to the much higher
memory bandwidth of DDR2 SDRAM.
