Sure. In all cases I'm using a simple VGA connection from the board to the display. Details of my original problem: * Occurs only with a large (42") widescreen plasma display. * Subtle artifacts around UI elements (funny pixels, etc.). * Long horizontal lines where there shouldn't be any. * Appears to be a bug in the VGA BIOS (occurs with both vesa & openchrome drivers). Details of the current problem, new since upgrading from svn462 to svn500: * Occurs with standard CRT, and (presumably) with other displays as well. * Mouse cursor replaced by a trippy square box. * Short vertical line that appears to be a one-dimensional projection of the mouse cursor box onto a vertical axis with fixed horizontal position. * When mouse cursor is moved to bottom of screen, screen blanks except for horizontal patch at bottom, where content that should be at the top of the screen is displayed, slightly scrambled. > I would suggest you add Option "ActiveDevice" "CRT" to your xorg conf. The machine in question is at work (and I am not), so I'll try this first thing in the morning. As I said, I believe my original issue is ultimately caused by a VGA BIOS glitch, but figured the openchrome driver may be able to work around that somehow.
