Diff Refresh Rates for Diff Drivers?
Hi, I'm using an EPIA EN15000G with gentoo linux installed on it. I use xfce
for my desktop environment. I'm pretty new to linux, but I managed to get my
system up and running and am able to watch video files no problem using VLC (on
a 27in tv). However, when I tried to watch a DVD it was skipping. I discovered
that I had no acceleration on because I was using only the vesa driver.

So, I found openchrome here and it seems to be installed, xorg starts but the
screen is distorted and everything is skewed to the side. This is similar to
problems I had at the beginning which were refresh rate problems. However, the
only thing I really changed in my xorg.conf was the driver to use. When I
switch back the driver line in xorg.conf to say vesa, it works fine again. Do I
need to use a different refresh rate setting while using the openchrome driver?

I have attached my xorg.conf. The stuff commented out is stuff I assume I will
need to activate later to get the acceleration working. It doesn't seem to help
the distortion issue though. It's a pretty simple config, maybe too simple?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
