The chipset was generating several modes when I started, the mode lines were added to the Xorg.conf in an attempt to get X to select the 1280x768 mode as 1280x1024 is kinda annoying on the screen. I would be happy to try and help out, after all I get a better working system from it. ;) My only concern is for my gentoo install which is getting to the point where I am very happy with it...
