Thanks everybody. That gives me a general feel for the status of time 
theory in OpenCog, but I also need to examine the links. Thanks for the 
links. 

Personally I agree  that it's possible that time can be learned along with 
the rest of common sense, and not structured into the architecture... so 
emergent. I tend to be in the camp myself that there is probably a finite 
set of invariant first principles (such as time, causality, and other such 
things found under the heading of metaphysics) that can be built in at the 
outset. Both approaches seem possible.
