I am experiencing differences in the behavior of the routine DXInterpolate with version 4.1.0 on linux, compared to version 3.1.4 on ibm.
The difference occurs with 2-D triangulated surfaces. In 3.1.4, if the test point is outside the boundary of the surface then it is not interpolated. In version 4.1.0, the behavior appears to be: return an interpolated value if the test point lies within the (rectangular) bounding box of the surface. In other words, DXInterpolate may extrapolate beyond the boundary of an irregular surface. I have seen similar behavior from the Map module in version 4.1.0 when mapping from one triangulated surface to another (the output of the module is a rectangle, i.e. the shape of the surface to which the map is applied is lost). Is there any way around this? Cheers, Paul Docherty Sr. Research Geophysicist Fairfield Industries 14100 SW Freeway, Suite 100 Sugar Land TX 77478 (281) 275 7590 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
