I guess I was thinking about "isinf", but it was too late in the night... And I would like to have a look at the invalid() function in Compute (my item 2) and finally also understand how to specify a double constant in Compute (as in "a < 1.0e+120") . I'll give it a go and see how it works. I'll finally get some use for my yacc book, maybe :) /Nils
