No, more of a limitation. There were more fonts that were included in
the commercial version (way back when), but they were commercial
fonts. I've contacted the font vendors to try and get permission to
either include them or sell them, but there was a big licensing deal
that would have to be done and the cost was not worth it.

Ah, my mistake. I did a "make maintainer-clean" and then a brand
new build from the very beginning. That solved the problem.

In the process, I came across another misbehaviour:
When I select, for example, "swiss" as font in the Caption and then execute
the network, I get an error that tells me "cannot open swiss font".
The Caption tool in VPE offers me an very long list of possible fonts, but
only few are actually available for rendering. Is this a bug?
