I need some volunteers to test OpenDx (cvs code) compiled with Cygwin and MOTIF 2.1.12 (Yes MOTIF 2.1.12)
I cannot get dxui.exe work properly since DX-4.0.7 onwards. It always give the error 'An internal Error occured" MSVC/Exceed compiled binaries do the same. There is no link from main URL. untar and ungzip in a tmp directory. In your previous Opendx 4.0.6 for Cygwin/Windows install directory rename Opendx/dx/bin_cygwin to bin_cygwin_orig and Opendx/bin to bin_orig Then move the bin_cygwin directory from /tmp/dx-cvs to /opendx/dx/bin_cygwin and move /tmp/dx-cvs/bin to opendx/bin The MOTIF 2.1.12 libraries are statically linked. MOTIF 2.1.12 source code we licensed recently and have redistribution rights to distribute statically linked applications. All the applications, including demos and tests which came with MOTIF 2.1.12 work perfect on Windows. Only dxui.exe is giving problems. I want to make sure it is not my NT system doing some strange things. dxui.exe started acting up on Windows after JAVA DX was introduced... more suprisingly it somewhat behaves if compiled with LessTif, but bombs if real MOTIF is used. Any suggestions and comments should be sent before 26th NOV, after that I will be out o country for 5 weeks... so any possibility to fix might get postponed for Y2K.
