I do not think it has anything to do with OpenGL driver.
The error message you are getting because dxexec executable is
bombing in the background.

In the latest version (4.0.9) I noticed on certain commands, like
using sequencer the dxexec.exe does a SEGV and creates a coredump
file.  From Wiundows version's stack dump all I can tell is that
dxexec (DX server) was attempting to access forbiden zone.  This
problem gets worst if MOTIF 2.1.x version is used.  In this case
dxexec would bomb immidiately upon execution.
I tried to debug the dxexec, but strange enough a debug version
within gdb would behave, i.e. would not bomb.
