DX-4.0.6 was compiled using Cygwin B20.1 stock. It should not give Cygwin1.dll compability problem. > Would using the Cygwin 1.0 CD release instead > of the cygwin20.1 shareware version solve the > problem? Cygwin 1.0 CD release is very different then Cygwin B20.1 available from Net. There are some export symbols differences in Cygwin1.dll with the Net release. Do not say shareware version, Cygnus folks get upset when they hear that word. Cygwin Net release is free but under GPL, not shareware. The Cygwin 1.0 CD release is commercialy supported like Linux, except that you cannot produce propreitary software. It can only be use for developing Open Source products. The incompability of DLLs can be at several places, which release of X11R6.x you used for compiling etc. My different releases of X1R6.x tools are causing confusions, therefore I have removed all of them andnow only 2 of them are available from Cygnus Sourceware server.
