Thanks.
Yes, it is really a module to import data from a message passing environment. But it's not MPI. We use HPCC (High Performance Cluster Communication). It is a lean programming interface, developed here at the Institute of Computer Engineering at the University of Lübeck, that uniformly enables efficient direct access to various high speed network technologies. Currently HIC, SCI, BIP/Myrinet, GM/Myrinet and Gigabit Ethernet are supported. HPCC uses PVM because of its feature about dynamic process management. (Some network ports like BIP use MPICH). Now I want to use OpenDX as a visualization frontend for a parallel simulation 'Heat Diffusion within Human Tissue'. It is a medical application for laser treatment of human eye diseases. We do the first steps using OpenDX. With further progress of this project I'd like to give you a description. Rainer -- Dipl.Inform.
