The Gestalt System project aims to develop a free, Open Source, object-oriented software framework which makes use of other free, Open Source software tools for the purposes of managing, analysing, and reporting on quantitative data in a manner which is suited to modern, networked computing environments in which processor, memory, and storage resources are abundant but time is scarce and requirements are forever changing.
The Gestalt System may be of particular interest to OpenDX users and developers because we hope to use OpenDX to provide advanced data visualisation functions within the project framework. Full details of the project proposal can be found in the Gestalt System Manifesto which is available at http://gestalt-system.sourceforge.net We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have on the project proposal - please send them to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You might want to subscribe to this list or to the low-volume gestalt-system-news list in order to receive announcements.
