Susan was having problems running JavaDX from the binaries I submitted to OpenDX.org. I do not have any problems running JavaDX on my machine and another machine I installed the binaries on. Here is her email:
I have tried to run the Colorado elevation JavaDx example again. I do see the dxworker, dxexec and java processes. When Status.html comes up, I can use the mouse to manipulate the images in the 6 example windows. The server status, # of visits etc. is correctly reported. I change the rubbersheet scale factor, go to execute and click on execute once and that is when the disconnection occurs. I have included the messages from the Netscape's java console at the bottom of this message. After the connection, I do a <shift> reload to reload the page and I get the applet security errors that are at the end of the console listing. Sometimes netscape core dumps at this point. I am using the netscape version that I downloaded from SGI version 4.7. --------Output from Java Console ------------ IBM Visualization Data Explorer / Java Explorer version 2.0.0 Executive version: 4 0 10 Executive/UI interface: 2 0 0 Creation date: Thu Mar 18 11:35:28 EST 1999 Creation host: Linux gdal.watson.ibm.com 2.0.32 #1 Wed Nov 19 00:46:45 EST 1997 i686 unknown WARNING: User Interface or .net file version is newer than Executive version Connection to DX broken IBM Visualization Data Explorer / Java Explorer version 2.0.0 netscape.security.AppletSecurityException: security.Invalid access to ClassLoader at netscape.applet.MozillaAppletContext.confirmClassLoader(MozillaAppletContext.java:172) at netscape.applet.MozillaAppletContext.getApplets(MozillaAppletContext.java:260) at dx.net.DXApplication.locateImageWindows(DXApplication.java:1074) at dx.net.DXApplication.setMacroName(DXApplication.java:570) at dx.net.DXLAppThread.setMacro(DXLAppThread.java:72) * at dx.net.DXLAppThreadCommand.execute(DXLAppThreadCommand.java:41) at dx.client.DXClientThread.run(DXClientThread.java:59)
