If this is part of HDF5, then you will need to write the importing
routines. DX does not currently support HDF beyond 4.1.

The version of OpenDX I have installed does not read HDF data files
using
the SD scientific data interface which is the standard HDF API
recommended in the
HDF documentation. I have managed to read old DFSD HDF files but need
to read
SD files. Is there a way to get OpenDX to read SD HDF files? Thanks
for any help. -Andrew
The error I get when trying to read a SD HDF file is:
ERROR:Import: Bad parameter: file 'test.hdf' not found
but the file is there and is chosen by the Data Prompter
