Hello

From what I understand in order for the Isosurface module to work the points
have to be connected. For example if I have a general point cloud, I have to specify how each point has to be connected to which in order for Isosurface to work. Is there a way to automate that process? Is Connect(Connects all the points together!) and Construct the only possible modules to use for connecting points, that is if I don't specify exactly how the points are to be connected.

Are you familiar with The Visualization Toolkit at all, because that software can import a set of points and then it specifies how the points are to be connected. Is there such an option available in OpenDX?

Thank you again for your help
Karim

Isosurface. There are many examples in the sample set.

If given 3d data, it makes surfaces of triangles (it doesn't use marching
cubes. It also handles unstructured grids).
If given 2d data, it makes lines.
If given 1d data, it makes points.

For 2d data, if you want "filled contours", use Band, which will generate
triangles.

Subject: [opendx-users] Marching Cube algorithm

Hello everybody,

Does anybody know if OpenDX has the ability to create contours or surfaces
given a volume set, e.g. marching cube algorithm. And if so how?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Karim
