Hi-

For cubes in 3D, my understanding of the vertex ordering for the
connections object is illustrated in the following (pardon my artwork):

                2
                x-------------x 6
               / | /|
              / | / |
             / | 0 /|
            / x----------- /-x 4
           / / / /
          / / / /
         / / / /
   3 x- /------------x/ 7
        | / |/
        | / |
        | / /|
        x-------------x
        1 5

Basically, the front face is all odd numbers; the back face is all even
numbers. Is this correct? Also, is this structure local to each cube in
the grid? By this I mean is it arbitrary which face I call front and
which I call back for each cube as long the vertex ordering is
preserved? Finally, my situation is that I am dealing with an
unstructured grid. I can capture the vertices for each cube but it is
not clear what is a slick way to re-arrange them to get the ordering
that dx wants. Does anyone have any experience doing this that they
would be willing to share?

TIA,
Steve
