I've recently installed openDX 4.1.1 for windows on
my PC, OS is Windows 2000, X server is Exceed XDK 7.0. My PC is running an
800MHz processor and 392MB RAM...it is very frustrating to see all of these
resources used up by the dxexec while my machine is sitting idle.
I am able to run openDX and create images, but the
dxexec is hogging the resources on my system. This actually doesn't happen
until I execute the VP, but then the dxexec constantly uses 99% of the CPU and
chews up tons of memory that it doesn't return...all while appearing to sit
idle. Even when i close the image window, CPU and memory usage are
still at or near 100%. The only way to regain my CPU is by resetting
server or disconnecting from the server, but this doesn't free any memory.
dxexec is still running at this point, but not using any CPU time. It
seems that there is a memory leak in the dxexec, but that's just a
guess.
any help would be greatly appriciated.
thanks,
