0: worker here [16231] dx> dx> dx> I didn't know what to do from this prompt. If I quit, and started dx without options, I had the same thing happen. I also tried "dx -script &", after which a "ps" showed I had a "dxworker" process and a "dxexec" process. So, since dxexec was seemingly running, I tried "dx &", and had the same problems (main button window came up, I chose Edit Visual Programs and chose my program (or chose a sample program), and got the error pop-up saying "Unable to connect to dxexec" and an error in my cmdtool saying "DXLStartChild: Could not connect using 'dx'". I still can't view my program. Thanks for the rapid response. Anything else I can do to troubleshoot this problem? -- Debra --------- Included message --------- Try and start the executive by itself and see what kind of errors you get. dx -script David >I'm having trouble installing OpenDX on a Solaris machine. >Specifically, an Ultrasparc 10 running SunOS 5.7 (I believe >this is Solaris 7). > >First time I tried to run DX I apparently didn't have OpenGL on the >machine.
