If you are passing the Import'd camera to the reset camera input of Image,
it will be used when you hit the reset button (ctrl-F). Otherwise, the
default is the front view. One of the outputs of Image is the current
view. If you pass it to Export, the dx file will be a small ASCII file
that has the camera specification. If you Export a field, it will include
sufficient information to define a bounding box, suitable for defining a
default camera.

WriteImage outputs whatever the resolution of the image it is given. It is
invoked by the save image option of Image. If you are appending
images/frames to the same file, then they must be the same size.

Subject: [opendx-users] how to save the view of an image

Hi,

I am working on a movie generation. I generate image frames and save
them both as .dx files with Export and as rgb files with WriteImage. I
expected that Export to will save also the resolution, the Box corners
etc. as they were picked picked interactively from VPE but when I
Import these files it starts with a front view camera, with the default
window size, the title goes beyond the image etc. How can I make Data
Explorer to save the image in a way that when I load it the next time to
get the same view as it when saved. I guess I miss something like
"default" or "reset" camera but I don't know how to set them.

I also tried to save a image with WriteImage. I set recordEnable,
recordFile and recordFormat but got an error: image resolution
(1000x800) must correspond to the file size (161x71). How can I control
the file size?

I will highly appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Ted
