What you describe is the way for the diligent half of the mailing list. The lazy rest of us may prefer the `psfixbb' script by Carsten Dominik (http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~dominik/Tools/psfixbb/) which does the whole thing for you. Just run it like this: psfixbb file1.eps [file2.eps [.. filen.eps]] and it overwrites the %%BoundingBox. Note that this script requires Ghostscript and Perl (which are normally present on any Unixish machine) and the utilities `pnmfile' and `pnmcrop' from the netpbm package. W o l f g a n g
