This should be 127.0.0.1:0.0.  I think you made a typo?

Get ride of ZoneAlarm.  It makes all the Xservers nonfunctional.  If he
needs a personal firewall, I suggest uninstall ZoneAlarm and install
TinyFirewall, which is also free but of far better quality then ZoneAlarm
crap.  Tinyfirewall is available from http://www.tinysoftware.com.  After
installing TinyFirewall make sure you add all the Xclients to allow
permanently connect to X-SOCK.
