I'm a OpenDX newbie who's having trouble visualizinging a very simple
3D data file. I suspect I'm importing the data incorrectly, or not
aligning each dimension properly with its axis.

My data is (supposedly) identical to the DX example called MRI.data and
should be easily rendered using the program MRI_2.net (16 slices of
128x128 unit MRI images, or 128x128x16, all 2 byte unsigned shorts).

However, when I visualize my data using MRI_2.net, I get a box volume
that appears to be full of colored strings, each running from one end
of the long narrow box to the other, rather than 16 2D slices that
align face-to-face. What could cause this, and what's the fix?

I've also tried to read in the data and then visualize it immediately
(without a dx program). In that case, I get a 2D sheet composed of
16x16 2D images (or 256 2D cross sections). So much for 3D.

I'm at a loss here and would really appreciate a clue.

Thanks,

    Randy
