has the tendency to become white (thus it is some kind of lighting,

Even if it is caused by lighting, the node closest to the user of
each hexa in a row of hexa's has the tendency to have the same color.
This is strange since one would expect that this lighting would affect
hexa's in the background less compared to hexa's at the foreground ??
