I'm pretty sure that Export will do this appropriately.  The documentation
may reflect something very old.  Why don't you try it to verify it.  You
should be able to export the data at each connection, the positions, the
connections, etc.  The format would either be dx (try format="dx ieee 2",
for a header as .dx and data in .bin) or arrays in ASCII.

I am working with connection-dependent (regular 2D & 3D) image data and

like to export the true connection-dependent data values. (Preferably in a

Has anyone come up with a way to save connection-dependent
(regular-position)
data to a file?  Will the ImageMagick option do this?
