You wouldn't need to do any C code. This already exists. In your GUI programs are you using the piping part of the Import module to run your perl script? If so, then just save your program and run the network with "dx -script".

Hello all!

To visualize the output of our FE-solver, I have written a PERL script
to
convert the output files into native DX format and developed some .net
programs.
So far, I've been using the DX-GUI to run the .net programs but I am
wondering if it is possible to write a C function that feeds the data
through a pipe directly to dxexec running in script mode. In this case,
the converting would drop out and you could produce TIFFs instantly
without going a long way round.
I've done that with gnuplot already and it works fine.

Has anyone of you tried that yet or has any suggestions whether it's
possible or
not?

Patrick
