You would need to adjust the parameters for Berkeley encoder, which is invoked by convert. I think that's hardwired. Have you posted the question on the ImageMagick web site? Of course, you could also generate yuv frames from convert and use another encoder that would give you more flexibility and quality as well as using newer protocols (e.g., MPEG-2 or MPEG-4). I have tried using the ImageMagick convert command to create mpeg animations but the mpeg file produced by convert has too fast a frame rate. I would like to have a frame rate of about 4-8 frames/second. I have tried using the -delay option to convert but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there a way to specify the frame rate when using convert to create an mpeg? Is there some other way to do it?
