No, then it would not be really a slider but some other kind of input
device. A slider is to act such that it appears to be able to provide
continuity.
What you should use for something with a limited number of inputs is
something like a Selector.

First of all, I'd like to thank you guys for all helpful replies
regarding multiple mdf files. I made it work :)
Now, I have a scalar with the input of {0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8}
I set the style to 'slider' and expected that it should show a slider
bar with the given 6 input values. However, the slider bar moves along
the range of 0.001 and 0.8 with some unexpected step size.
I am wondering if it is possible to set the scalar to show only 6 input
values.
