FYI: I got dx to work with CygWIN, strangely enough it didn't like the
X-server I was using, "X-Win32". I installed the CygWIN XFree86 distro
and now dx will launch with either XFree86 running *or* X-Win32 .. go
figure ....

few times but still get the same errors. Here's the error message
when attempting to start dx:
startupui.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because libICE.dll was not
found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
The operating system is Windows XP.
