Hi All,

COMMENTS (SHORT LIST):

1)TOOLSETS
Should support:
a)Humans (practitioners, administrators, support personnel, patients and
their support groups)
This should support visualizations, e.g.,
VIEW/MODIFY/JOIN/SEVER/PARTITION/INTEGRATE,
for a human operator

b)local/remote software processes/procedures/intelligent agents
This should support software-controlled communications and groups of
software packages that will
permit automatic and user-controlled data-related operations, e.g., merge
notes and records, monitor
notes and records, respond to and generate events, evaluate, verify, certify
notes and records.
Should be able to distinguish in the future whether a human operator or a
software package.

INTEGRATION'S
Should support:
a)multiple users/software packages/both, e.g., trade/log/modify notes
globally, cross-border/cross-discipline
communications/records/notes in real-time/query-response/delayed
b)update records and notes to reflect
integrations/agreements/disagreements/issues/TODOs
c)incorporate place/system/platform/packages/contributors/comments into
notes and records so that future
communications/records will be able to precisely
identify/evaluate/review/contact prior communicators

EXAMPLE:
See 'smartie' buried in the information at:
http://www.openclinical.org
or:
http://www.smartie-ist.org/

Reading MedNotes makes smartie a handy tool. A similar tool should be
available to read the
'dissimilar' MedNote-type files from a GUI tool capable of supporting the
desired operations.

NOTES:
-Developing this tool is not a small task!
-The number of different types of MedNotes is currently an unknown

PROPOSAL:
Need additional input on information that should be integrated with the GUI
tool.

Comments/suggestions welcomed.

-Thomas Clark
