Richard,
        The message tells you all that you need to do. You need to open
web.xml found by this path:

C:\$CATALINA_HOME\webapps\openejb_loader-0.9.0\WEB-INF

        Once you have web.xml open, just change:

<init-param>

      <param-name>openejb.home</param-name>
      <param-value>C:\OpenEJB\openejb-0.9.0</param-value> //Change this
to suite your needs

      <description>
        Set this to the exact path where OpenEJB is installed.

        If you are using Tomcat, setting this variable means you no
        longer will need to set the CATALINA_OPTS or JAVA_OPTS system
        variable to include the OPENEJB_HOME variable.
      </description>

</init-param>

        I commented the line you should change. If by chance the
portion is commented out, uncomment it then change. Restart Tomcat and
all should be well. If you need more help, let use know. Thanks,
Jeremy

Subject: [OpenEJB-user] openejb.home -openejb loader for Tomcat

Dear All:

>From David's OPENEJB installation notes
---------------------------------------

Pass the OPENEJB_HOME dir into Tomcat using the CATALINA_OPTS
environment variable

[EMAIL PROTECTED] /home/j2ee/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.12
$ export CATALINA_OPTS='-Dopenejb.home=/home/j2ee/openejb-0.9.0'

using Windows xp
----------------
installed openejb at c:\unzipped\openejb-0.9.2
Created tomcat-4.1.24\bin\setenv.bat with the following line:
set CATALINA_OPTS ='-Dopenejb.home=c:\unzipped\openejb-0.9.2'

executed the following
-----------------------
tomcat-4.1.24\bin\setenv.bat
tomcat-4.1.24\bin\startup

Results from tomcat-4.1.24 server log
--------------------------------------
--[PLEASE FIX]-------------------------------------
Invalid openejb.home: C:\openejb-0.9.2
The path specified does not exist.
Please edit the web.xml of the openejb_loader webapp and set the
openejb.home in
it-param to the full path where OpenEJB is installed.
---------------------------------------------------

Missing documentation for the installation.
What do I edit in web.xml for openejb_loader?

Sincerely,
Richard
