Sorry, you're right, I had remembered it wrong. It's ${COMPATIBLE_HOST}
that I was thinking of, and I guess that doesn't do what you need in the
specific case of cross packages.
I guess I would be happy enough to see support for ${COMPATIBLE_TARGET}
added to cross.bbclass if such a thing doesn't already exist.
