+1 - (even without a smaller screen, I have to do this too much on Kanban views) Ray. *From:* Openerp-community [mailto:openerp-community-bounces+rcarnes= ursainfosystems....@lists.launchpad.net] *On Behalf Of *Daniel Reis *Sent:* Wednesday, February 12, 2014 1:41 PM *To:* Ferdinand Gassauer *Cc:* openerp-community *Subject:* Re: [Openerp-community] Default filters for specific views + decent date and time selection widgets, also usable on touch screens. + avoid scrolling all the way to the right to access the filter box on smaller screens. + having the form previous / next nav buttons stay always on the same place (they move down when the breadcrumb wraps to the next line) + have a click on a OpenChatter follower keep the breadcrumb DR No dia 12/02/2014, às 15:53, Ferdinand Gassauer <off...@chricar.at> escreveu: On 2014-02-12 17:56, Markus Schneider wrote: Well unfortunately UX seems not to have the highest priority in this project. Probably we should start a Google Doc to collect ideas - like: - autohide left menu (or v6.1 style pull down) - I never understood why this was omitted. - freeze column headers in list views - freeze form header to width of visible screen (window) - problems - next set of records is always on top (was available at bottm in v5) scroll to top needed to reach navigation widget - change view type - example: group modules by author in kanban view scroll to top AND right to reach navigation widget - alphabetic sort of lists with many (+5 items) - translated menu items (except work flow orientated items - use of sequences to control this) (especially settings) - many lists/tree views (products) - "natural order" - try sort products by name using French/German language - grouped list - Example accounts group by account type in French/German - sort / filter of function fields we have provided a patch for v5 which was never accepted ...... Ferdinand hi, at the moment there is no current community branch for UX modules? Our idea is to have a branch where you can find some modules witch change (hopefully increased) the UX of OpenERP. The problem in general with UX is that you have to test it. Developing and than changing in with next major release do not fit well. So good community solution would be to write some modules that change small parts and some partners install on cooperate customers and collect their feedback to make progress. Maybe the changes evolved to a core patch to server or web-module. We do the first step with the "search_filter_action_specific" but have some more ideas what we can test. Feedback from other OpenERP User would be welcome. So if someone is interested let us know. The problem with (default) filters is that that they apply to a model and not to a specific view of a model. Therefore we developed a proof-of-concept add-on [1] that allows to bind filters to a specific action so that views that are triggered from different menu entries can have different filters. Do you think this is a generally useful feature or would you need something different to enhance the value of filters in OpenERP? Best, Thomas.
