Ravish: Can you explain to be how this is supposed to work?
According to the *code*: - Select a fiscal year - Get its EOY entries journal period - Remove the opening entries in that journal+period, which were previously created by closing the FY. A FY only has an EOY entries journal period if it has been closed, and opening entries for the next period have been generated. Therefore the FY *must* have already been closed, and it is a bug to offer *open* FYs for reopening. -- Alternatively, is there another process for doing a 'trial closing' which I should be using, which does everything except actually marking the FY as closed? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenERP Indian Team, which is subscribed to OpenERP Addons. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1023263 Title: "Cancel Opening Entries" wizard only allows selection of FYs which are still open Status in OpenERP Addons (modules): Incomplete Bug description: The wizard needs a closed fiscal year, but only allows open fiscal years to be selected. The attached patch fixes the condition in the wizard.
