Hi,

Ok, I don't really know what I am looking for though :-)
The only reference to anything network was

eth0: no IPv6 routers present

Right at the end of dmesg

The ifconfig command produced

-bash: eth1: command not found

I'm a bit lost?? :-)

I didn't mean literally "ifconfig eth0 | eth1"

I meant, either / or.

so if your currently configured network device is eth0, then;

ifconfig eth1 192.168.2.1 (e.g)

or , conversely:

ifconfig eth0 192.168.2.1

Hmm, is something supposed to happen? I tried it and nothing happened.

That's usually a good sign :)

Check dmesg output and then try:

ifconfig eth0 | eth1 <yourip>
