Haven't tried this in a while, but here you go.

I personally think trying to support vmware server is a waste of time and that
if any effort is put into supporting virtualization on OF (which i think would
be a boon in order to run a Windows domain controller), it should be toward an
open-source virtualization solutions such as Xen.

    They need a friggen flowchart for this thing :-P

    Anyway, if anyone else has any luck, post your experiences. Out of the box
it goes like this:

    <--------->
    Before running VMware Server for the first time, you need to configure it by
    invoking the following command: "/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl". Do you want
this
    program to invoke the command for you now? [yes]

    The correct version of one or more libraries needed to run VMware Server
may be
    missing. This is the output of ldd /usr/bin/vmware:
            linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xffffe000)
            libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0xb7f45000)
            libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0xb7f42000)
            libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7f31000)
            libX11.so.6 => not found
            libXtst.so.6 => not found
            libXext.so.6 => not found
            libXt.so.6 => not found
            libICE.so.6 => not found
            libSM.so.6 => not found
            libXrender.so.1 => not found
            libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0xb7f1e000)
            libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7e04000)
            /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7f6c000)

    This program cannot tell for sure, but you may need to upgrade libc5 to
glibc
    before you can run VMware Server.

    Hit enter to continue.
    <----------->

    Not to mention the vmmon module needs to be compiled, which i doubt is
true, i suspect it's just that the vmware installer just doesn't understand the
rpath system peculiarities. So when (if) I figure out how to get this stuff
added without breaking OF updates, i'll post back.
