Hi all:

I've recently installed OF, and now I'm having trouble figuring out
how to configure it. I've got the web interface working, I've created
some volumes in my (only) volume group. I've created shares under my
volumes. However, I can't for the life of me find how to edit the
share settings (eg, what means its shared by, permissions, etc). I've
spent hours going through every possible page I can find on the OF web
interface, and I'm no closer to actually getting any shares exported.

I've read the online manual, but it seems to be for a considerably
different version of OF than what I have (2.2.r1227-3-1). How do I
set up my share?

I'm also somewhat confused with OF's authentication config. Here, we
have an AD server serving up kerberos to all users, and an NIS server
without passwords serving up UID/GID/etc. We're in the process of
migrating to an LDAP/Kerberos system hosted by AD using their SFU30
schema. I didn't see any options that looked like it would be able to
deal with that in OF.

Some additional questions that came up regarding Auth and Windows
interoperability. This probably spawns from not messing with Samba
enough, but here goes. How does OF deal with CIFS shares and
permissions. Eg, if a user wants to put a windows ACL on their dir or
files, can they? For that matter, can users even set any perms via
Windows? (We have a considerable number of users that are
windows-only and will never touch a linux/unix system, we have many
that live in unix, and we have some that switch back and forth.)
Currently, we're serving up users' data on Network Appliances, with
many shares in mixed perms mode.

Thanks!
