Hi Siddhant, I was stuck with an error "can't open display" when doing xterm. Adriano, from the openflow group helped me out and suggested that It was when putty terminal was opened through cmd So,I opened the putty terminal by using 'open' in putty itself and It was corrected.
After the basic setting (give your eth1 IP in hostname part of putty session settings) ,enable X11 forwarding and click open.
