Yes, that's correct.  Note that the competition is for the equivalent of
socket manager and the connection manager, but on the controller side
(though being able to target it for the switch is a plus.)  Whether it is a
direct translation of OF messages or provides a slightly more abstract
representation is up to the entry.  The key aspects are the "library"
nature of the product and the target languages.  Adding internal
instrumentation and external tools to increase usability and debug-ability
are also plusses.
