These patches don't have kernel dependency, they also don't depend on DPDK, you
can use it in the same way as you used the version from CISCO (Pritesh), two
test flow files have detailed openflow changes. For ovsdb and sfc and gbp, we
need to change openflowplugin to support these new match fields and actions,
ovsdb and sfc and gbp need to do some changes to adapt to these changes, but
to-be-done changes will be very little, I'll work on this and make sure they
can transit smoothly.

We're still working on official ovs patches, that will include kernel changes
(ovs community asks us to merge kernel patches in Linux kernel firstly, then
ovs can merge the rest part), but this work is very slow, merge will be much
slower.

Subject: Re: [sfc-dev] ovs nsh patches are available for public use

Yang,

Thanks for this!

We'll start looking into using this now.

Do you know what's the latest status of getting NSH into OVS officially? What's
the difference between this patch in your github and what will be available
officially?

What are the system requirements for using your patch, like Linux kernel, OVS,
etc. It doesnt look like it, but is DPDK needed with this patch?

Thanks,

Brady

Hi, folks

We have pushed ovs nsh patches in https://github.com/yyang13/ovs_nsh_patches,
you can follow instructions in README.md to apply these patches and build ovs
to support nsh, please let me know if you have any problem during using.
